Violence, Power, & the Effect of Freedom
I am sad for my country.
Yesterday was Independence Day, and I started writing an article about why freedom is important. Building off a recent poll that shows 2 out of 3 people do not know why Americans declared their independence from the crown, I became frustrated by the insanity of having to even address the issue — how could we have come to this? How could Americans not know why we celebrate the 4th of July?
It struck a melancholy note in me and rather than dwell on the matter, I decided to lift the mood by gathering with friends to reflect on the state of life in general. Sipping whiskey, strumming guitars out by the pool, enjoying fellowship under the pines, rolling into town to feast on BBQ chicken, burgers and blue ribbon beers, savoring the world’s best sweet mustard sauce, homemade salsa and guac, watching the kids play with explosives, laughing and having fun, talking about goats, guns, and plans for the future… all of this was good for the soul.
This is the America I know and love. People respect the stars and bars. We respect each other. It’s a free country. Our flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away. I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free—and I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me—and I’ll gladly stand up, next to you, and defend her still today, ’cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA! I am proud to be an American, and so are my family and friends, and so are you, my friends reading this letter and those in the listening audience.
We love our country, and for the most part, we like it just the way that it is. Sure, we can fix some things—but then again, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Constitution of the United States was established to secure the blessings of liberty for future generations, and it’s worked remarkably, undeniably well. Look at the prosperity, the innovation, the charity, the inspiration that America has brought into the world. Are we wrong to feel like we are the greatest nation on earth? The proof is in the pudding, isn’t it? It isn’t bragging if it’s true, right?
I believe we can say those things and speak about American exceptionalism without diminishing other countries. In fact, I believe plenty of people feel that very same way about their own hometowns, tucked into every nook and cranny and corner of the earth. People love their communities, their hamlets, their villages and cities. Or they don’t, and they leave. How many people have migrated to America because they believed in the American Dream? Are we not known as the melting pot of the world? The point is this: We should be proud to be Americans, just as others should be proud patriots of their own homeland, because it’s the most natural thing in the world.
But something is wrong.
Our country is sick. It has been infected with a foreign disease. As a nation, we are suffering from subversive ideology and twisted ideas. Reality is being rejected and replaced with wishful thinking. People are being duped into believing lies—lies about our country, lies about our history, lies about our elections, lies about our laws, and lies about our future. We are being lied to about so many things, it can be hard to know what’s true. But the truth still exists.
That an entire generation can be so fleeced and deceived that they have no concept of why America was founded is a startling reality. But, as sad as it is that so many people are out of touch with American history, it’s important that we realize this is not by accident. This is all part of an intentional plan, subversive tactics that are being used to separate us from our heritage, to sow seeds of division, and to cast doubt on the goodness and glory of the United States of America.
Why is that? Because nobody will fight for a country they no longer love. Nobody will fight if they don’t believe it’s worth fighting for. Nobody will fight if they are too confused, scared, disconnected or complacent. Nobody will fight if they are too doped up, dependent, or distracted. Nobody will fight for freedom if they believe that freedom is problem. Nobody will fight the government if they believe the government is the solution. Do you see how far we’ve come?
The sad reality is that Lady Liberty has been under assault for decades. Her values have been grossly violated and the abuse keeps getting worse. At this point in history, the abusers are bold and brazen. Who now will defend her honor? And how?
In recent podcasts I’ve talked a lot about propaganda, psychological warfare, and the fact the history is literally being re-written right before our eyes. As the global progressive agenda seeks to re-make America into a dystopian socialist hell, there is a pantheon of provocateurs who are actively subverting our nation using communist tactics and Marxist ideology. Those who understand how communism takes root have been trying to warn us for years, but too few people have taken note. (video below)
There is a solution.
But it’s not an easy solution. It will take time. It will take commitment. It will take sacrifice, pain, and suffering. It will take fighting for what’s right, fighting for freedom, and fighting to win the hearts and minds of America. To awaken people from their socialist stupor we might have to smack them in the face, grab them by the ears, and yell loud enough they listen. Sometimes violence is the answer, and that’s not something we should be ashamed to say.
Think about it. Violence is perfectly natural. Violence restores the balance of power. Violence puts aggression in check. Violence protects the innocent. Violence liberates victims. Violence is an inseparable and indispensable aspect of natural order.
Sometimes violence is the answer.
Two bees fighting over a flower. A mother bear defending her cub. A raptor killing to feed its young. Scavengers squabbling over the scraps. A dog fight to determine who leads the pack. Can there be anything more natural?
Nature is violent and beautiful. Sit with that for a minute.
Our society has been conditioned to be soft and passive. That’s not by accident. The masses have been made to believe in toxic masculinity, that boys can be girls, that girls can be boys, and that everyone is equal. These are all lies. Generations have been taught that violence is never the answer. They been convinced that violence solves nothing—but nothing could be farther from the truth.
Without violence babies would starve, women and children would be forced into slavery, predators would openly prey upon the public, and tyrants would soon rule the world. Without violence there would be a whole lot more Hitlers and whole lot less Jews. But most importantly, without violence there would be no United States of America and we may never have known what it means to be free.
The truth is, in order to defend our culture, our customs, and our constitution, to secure the blessings of liberty for future generations, we might have to fight to the death. Sometimes violence is the answer, and it’s high time we consider this truth.
When a long train of government abuses only seems to be getting worse, when a nation of free people is reduced to utter slavery under absolute despotism, it is the right of the people to throw off such a government and secure the blessings of liberty for future generations. Our founders believed this was their duty. As we helplessly watch history repeating itself, it’s time we take such lessons to heart.
Nature is quick to remind us all, that sometimes violence is answer.
