Seeing Through The Illusions
There is evil in the world.
It may seem obvious, but it’s worth stating at the outset that evil people do evil things, always for their own selfish gain, and always at the cost of causing harm to other people. This is a fact that will never go away — there will always be evil in the world, and that is a fact that we all must face.
It’s easy to denote our ideological opponents as enemies. It’s convenient to cast them as evil characters. And, while we no doubt will find agreement within our own personal alliances, it is critical to remember that those on the “other side” — those we would call evil — very likely see us as evil in return.
Thus, the battle between good and evil, in the simplest sense, can be described as a battle for control of the hearts and minds of humanity. We will always take sides. We will always see those who seek to control us as enemies. Within this framework, we will always have conflict. We will always have war.
Today we awake to the horrifying news that Russia has launched a full-scale military attack against Ukraine. Airstrikes and artillery have wounded untold numbers of people. There is an imminent threat of kicking up nuclear dust from the Chernobyl site in the north, and the even greater threat of an all out nuclear war should the world interfere with Putin’s plans.
This is all very real, very serious, and it carries heavy implications for world at large. Citizens around the globe are now gripped by the graphic images of bloodied civilians, smoldering ruins, and the charred remains of once peaceful communities. We see military equipment moving through city streets, war planes dropping from the sky, and the bright flashes of massive explosions.
It’s almost too much to handle, too much to process, to much to make sense of. How can these be happening? How is this going to play out? How will it end? As simple citizens, we simply must watch and see. Stay tuned. Stay glued to the tube. Wait and see how the world responds.
Can you feel the adrenaline? Can you feel the concern? What if China makes a move on Taiwan? What if cyber attacks shutdown our banks and take down the grid? What if there actually is a nuclear war? Where will the bombs be dropped? How close to home will this war come?
Now — let’s disengage from the panic for a moment. Let’s take a deep breath. Let’s relax and remember that we are safe and warm, and that we have SO much to be grateful for, not the least of which is the fact that we are nowhere near the front lines of this unfolding tragedy.
Remember that there are other things going on the world. Other things that are good. Other things that are bad. Other things that are evil. Do not forget that there is a larger plot afoot.
To make informed decisions for our families, we need to keep a clear head, keep our eyes wide open, and analyze the situation with our logical minds. Emotions muddle our ability to make sense of things. We need to use the tool of intelligent inquiry to better understand what’s going on.
Rather than lambasting the apparent evils of war — and the evil warmongers who are currently advancing their respective agendas with complete disregard for human life — let’s stay curious and question this crisis from a few different angles:
- We are told that, “The world will hold Russia accountable.” Think about that: The world with hold Russia accountable. Who or what is the “world” and how exactly will “they” do this? These words are casting an illusion that does not exist in reality.
- We are told that, “The attack prompted outrage and denunciations from the West and elsewhere.” There is no doubt that the attack has provoked emotional responses from around the globe — but who or what is the “West” and where is this “elsewhere”? More illusions.
- We are told that, “Putin was preparing a false-flag operation to create a pretext for invasion.” But isn’t it true that either side could potentially stage false events? Isn’t it true that both sides might want war? Isn’t it true that both sides feel justified in their actions?
What we find, with just a few simple questions, is the startling reality that we really don’t know what is going on in Eastern Europe. We really don’t know why this is important to our national interests. What are our national interests anyway? Does anyone actually agree on any of these terms?
The illusion that is being cast, is one of unity. But does this unity really exist? The blunt answer is no. The “world” simply does not agree on who’s right and who’s wrong in this situation. People around the globe do not agree on who the real evil-doers are. In reality, there are many people who are not even paying attention — because war in a distant land seems unimportant to surviving and dealing the practical aspects of life in the here and now.
That said, just to be clear, not caring about this conflict is entirely shortsighted. History is repeating itself, and the remarkable similarities, the predictable patterns, should do more than raise a brow. How have we come to this? Rest assured, it was not by accident, and that is a critical fact.
Powerful people, with powerful weapons, are deploying powerful propaganda, casting illusion and creating confusion, as then engage in a power struggle of epic proportion. The endgame, on both sides, is control. Powerful people want control over the tax paying peasants — and the battle over who gets to exercise that control is spilling out across the headlines.
But underneath it all, lies the suffocating human spirit — the spirit of humanity, the spirit of freedom, that is desperately gasping for breath, and the globalist grip tightens around our necks.
It is true that we are at war, but let’s not lose sight of who the real enemy is. Let’s not lose sight of the evil that seeks to conquer and control us all, because that is the force behind this orchestrated chaos.
