ELECTED NOT ANOINTED
ELECTED NOT ANNOINTED
Anyone who runs for elected office should have to sign an agreement stating what they are going to try and accomplish, also that they will uphold the Constitution and the oath of office. When they get lazy and just want to become a career politician and those things mean nothing, they get fired for not doing the job they were hired for and violating their contract. You get good politicians by getting rid of the bad ones.
Too many times when people get elected they believe they have just become smarter and have been elevated to the pinnacle of importance. To most of them it would be insulting for them to be labeled as a public servant of the people.
The problem is that the ones that are willing to take the challenge to turn things around, honestly wanting to work for the citizens and actually mean what they say in a campaign have a mountain of opposition to climb. The established cronies have a well financed campaign because they are being rewarded for their allegiance to the elites. The influence that they have acquired through hobnobbing with the right people gives them a big advantage to get reelected
Then you have people that complain about the way things are going but didn’t vote. The ones that don’t vote don’t care about the future or what happens to their children, grandchildren or themselves. When you don’t evaluate the candidates and vote for the best one, you are letting someone else decide your future.
So how did we get in this mess with so many arrogant elected bureaucrats sucking off the taxpayers dollar? When you have less than half of the registered voters voting, the ones that are running for reelection know the fix is in, what media to use, what to say and where to put pressure on the programs that depend on their support, that gives them the upper hand to keep their position.
So all that to say if people want change to make things better, freer and less government control, they are going to have to vote for it. When you get a good person willing to stand up and put themselves out there because they care, then work to support them and get out the vote.
There has never been a time in America when the sovereignty of the community, state, and the country have been in jeopardy like it is now. It’s time to take seriously the privilege and the right to vote while you still have it. Many have fought and died defending liberty and freedom, the least we can do is vote to keep it.
