Are Guns Good Or Bad?
Warning: Idiocy is contagious.
In yesterday’s podcast I offered my sincerest condolences to the victims of hate at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, before offering a few snarky comments on the media response and then side-stepping the issue altogether. I said I didn’t want to talk about it, and I still don’t, but I will, because we must.
Why must we talk about this issue when there are so many much more important topics we could be discussing? Precisely because it so rapidly pulled public attention away from more important matters, apparently right on cue, and thus it offers a case study on propaganda and the malleable human mind.
Before we begin to examine the peculiarities surrounding this horrific event, it would be a disservice if I did not mention at least a few the more important issues being buried by the sensational outrage over “gun violence”…
Leftists Are About to Kill Millions of People Right Before Our Eyes — As mysterious fires, plan crashed, and explosions continue to send our food supply up in smoke; as farmers struggle to get fertilizer because train of derailments; as Bird Flu annihilates millions of poultry; as desperate mothers scour bare shelves hoping to feed their hungry babies; intelligent analysis points a finger at the architects of this potential massacre.
Davos Elites Warn ‘Painful Global Transition’ Should Not Be Resisted By Nation States — The global cabal are flattering each other at this year’s summit, praising the positive environmental impact of the pandemic, pitching new tech that can track and report the carbon footprint of every person on the planet, and imagining the inescapable compliance of indigestible nano-bots that will tell Big Gov whether or not you’ve taken your meds or taken the latest genetic booster shot.
- Caught on Camera: 2,000 Mules Offers Vivid Proof of Vote Fraud — Turns out the U.S. elections system is a cesspool of corruption and fraud, and that was before covid. In 2016, Hillary Clinton pulled off a “dirty trick for the ages,” claiming Trump colluded with Russia while she herself was paying for Russian disinformation. Even prior to the shocking corruption revealed in 2000 Mules, our election system was being mocked as a banana republic by third-world African nations.
Now then, having glossed over the more substantive issues that are destined to shape our collective future, let’s turn our attention once again to outrage over the latest school shooting — and yet another “credible threat of violence” in a different Texas school.
Please do not get me wrong: These are horrible atrocities that demand attention and prove beyond all doubt that our nation has a major problem.
But what is the problem? Is it “gun violence”? Is the “angry young American male” a public health crisis? Is it the antidepressants and medications that are being pumped into kids at an alarming rate? Could it be the documented link between violent first person video games and violence in real life?
Salvador Ramos was clearly deranged. He had a record of cutting his own face, threatening people, and he even shot his own grandma before murdering innocent children in an elementary school. He had posted pictures of guns and made threats of violence, at least of which had been reported to the FBI, even threatening specifically to “shoot up a school” after losing a video game.
As devastating as this is, we need to zoom out.
The FBI reports that active shooter incidents jumped by more than 50% in 2021. And yet, there is a very clear pattern of the FBI repeatedly failing to stop the mass shooters before they start shooting people — even though these psychopaths have been reported and investigated numerous times prior to the shootings taking place. Salvador Ramos is just one more example of their failure to act on intel and prevent atrocity before it strikes.
Should the grieving parents turn there wrath and the failure of law enforcement? Should they be angry at the police who stood outside for almost an hour before, with parents begging them to go in an protect their children, before an allegedly off-duty BORTAC agent boldly entered the school and executed the killer, while getting injured in the process?
Do you see how crazy this all is? Meanwhile, democrats like Beto O’Rourke, who is running for Texas governor, are capitalizing on this tragedy for political gain. Beto had the gall to burst into Governor Greg Abbott’s news conference and shouting, “THIS IS ON YOU!!” — which is little more than parroting the national talking point that republicans are to blame for gun violence.
Cue the calls to scrap the 2nd Amendment, antagonize peaceful, law-abiding gun owners, and demonize the NRA’s annual meeting in Houston tomorrow. Coincidentally, all of this just so happens to rile up the useful idiots who comprise the liberal base, much like the recent SCOTUS leak, just in time to get out the vote for primaries ahead of the midterm election.
For anyone who still believes that more gun control will stop violent crimes, I only have one question: Are guns good or bad? The answer should be obvious.
